📣 Announcements
Free MiniMax ends May 1
We started offering frontier open models for free in February. We originally planned to end the promo at the end of February, but we decided to extend it until May 1.
On the free plan, you’ll still be able to chat with Zo (limited to 30 messages a day). Remember, your Zo includes tons of built-in tools (image generation, X search & posting, browser use, web search, and more), and we make most of Zo’s tools free to use.
$10,500 in prizes for the coolest website on Zo
We’re running a challenge on Contra to build the most creative personal website on Zo. We’re extending the deadline until this Sunday, April 26. Submit to win cash prizes: 🥇$5,000 🥈$3,500 🥉$1,500
Send us your most talented software engineer friends
We set an extremely high bar for engineering talent at Zo. We’re offering a $5,000 USD referral bonus if someone you refer joins the team. See zo.computer/careers for more information on roles.
🚢 What’s new
Connect Zo to your laptop, PC, or Mac Mini
Zo can now access files, operate the browser, and control apps on devices you own. Simply install the desktop app, and enable the Devices feature in Settings. Zo can control your browser, use iMessage, access Apple Notes and Obsidian, or run Terminal commands.
Chat with Zo from Discord & Slack
You can now chat with Zo in Discord. Go to Settings > Channels to connect Zo to your Discord account and add Discord servers.
You can also chat with Zo in Slack. Add the Zo app to your Slack workspace, and then DM or mention @Zo to connect your account.
Publish files and folders
Zo can now publish files & folders, hosted on your personal cloud. Just ask Zo:
Publish this folder to zo.pubGive me a link to share these filesMake this folder public
More control over Zo’s tools
You can now control which tools Zo has access to. Go to Settings > AI > Personas, select a Persona, and edit the permissions for any of your Zo Personas. When you message that Persona, it will only have the tools that you allow.
Native X integration, localization, and what’s next
Zo can now connect directly to your X account to post and respond to DMs. You can combine this with Zo’s X Search tool to fully automate your presence on X.
You can change your Zo’s interface language in Settings > UX. Let us know if you have feedback on any of our translations, or want to request another language.
We’re always shipping fixes & features (check out zo.computer/updates to see what’s new). Coming soon:

Zo Cribs
Zo is your home on the internet, and we want to feature the coolest homes. If you’ve done something atypical, cool, outrageous, or downright insane with Zo, we want to hear about it! Please get in touch with Tiff (theophana0) in Discord. And check out the first installment in our video series, featuring John Siwicki.
Community Build Hours
We’re running regular sessions where Zo users hang out & build with each other. Sign up for the next Build Hour on Monday.
Zo Webinars
We’re featuring Zo Ambassadors on our new webinar series. Check out the first two installments:
Anthea is a solopreneur running her entire business on one Zo: website, bookings, payments, content, client management. She walked through her actual workflow and showed how she replaced Squarespace, ChatGPT, Claude, Calendly, Notion, and Google Docs with one computer.
Brée is a 15-year NASA veteran turned Chief Creative Officer, and she took us from blank canvas to a working real-time life dashboard in about 20 minutes. The Zo Community walked away with a CEO-level dashboard they could use immediately, plus the blueprint for building more personal tools with AI.
Zo World Tour
We’ve been on the road talking to Zo users in San Francisco, Miami, London, and Michigan.
Up next, we’ll be visiting Singapore from May 10–18, for ClawCon (May 14), AI Engineer (May 17), and more TBA events.
After Singapore, we’ll be heading to Michigan Tech Week (May 19-21), Toronto Tech Week (May 25-29), and NY Tech Week (June 1-7).
Reply to this email to get in touch! We’d love to meet up in person, and we’re eager to find more events to attend (and sponsor).
Whew. That’s all for now!
Happy building, from Ben & the Zo team.
